You may have patients that when prompted to go to the App Store to update A-CHESS "Connections", they are presented with an "OPEN" button instead of an "UPDATE" button.
If automatic updates are not turned on in iOS, sometimes this may happen. Sometimes updates won't show unless you plug your iPhone into power as well.
A couple things you can try.
Open the App Store.
Go to the “Updates” section of App Store
Tap near the top of the screen below the ‘Updates’ text, then hold and pull down, then release
When the spinning wait cursor finishes spinning, any new app updates will appear
The other thing that can be tried is restarting the the phone and going back to the App Store to follow the procedure above.
